Roper and Bon Secours St. Francis Hospitals have a long history of taking care of the children of the Lowcountry. Our wide range of pediatric services bring together the healthcare providers, the technology and resources your children need to get well and stay healthy. There are pediatric inpatient beds available at both hospitals, as well as the services of pediatricians and pediatric nurses in PedsPlus. Both hospitals are staffed with professionals who are specially trained in dealing with children's unique needs. For example, we can help your little one prepare for a scheduled surgery with tours of our ambulatory surgery centers and inpatient departments. We realize that parents are their children's best advocates and invite you to stay with your child when hospitalized and participate in his/her care.

Peds Plus
When sniffles and scrapes need more than a kiss, Roper St. Francis Healthcare offers PedsPlus. This after-hours urgent care service, located at Roper Hospital, offers convenient, cost effective urgent pediatric care during evenings and weekends hours.

PedsPlus is staffed by pediatricians and pediatric nurses with years of experience, ready to take care of your child's urgent care needs. Hours are 6 to 10 p.m. on Monday through Friday; 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Holiday hours vary.

Pre-Surgery Tour
The unfamiliar can be very scary for a child. To ease this, tours are offered for children who are scheduled for a procedure at either hospital. Anyone interested may contact Gene Glave, Pediatric Services Manager, at 843-724-2394 for more information.
