Megan Kerley Joins Roper St. Francis Foundation Staff
Charleston, SC – Roper St. Francis Foundation is pleased to announce that Megan Kerley has joined its staff as Director of Annual Giving. In this capacity, Kerley will manage all aspects of the Foundation’s annual giving program including the planning and execution of Roper Xavier (Rx) Society’s annual Donor Appreciation Gala.
Kerley has more than seven years experience in philanthropy. She has worked with nonprofit organizations of varying sizes and missions to help them achieve the growth and success necessary to enhance the lives of those they serve. Most recently, she served as the Associate Director of Annual Giving for The Citadel Foundation. A resident of West Ashley, Kerley is currently an active volunteer with several local nonprofit organizations.
She completed her bachelor’s degree in English from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, GA, and a master’s degree, also in English, in a program offered jointly by The Citadel and the College of Charleston.
The Roper St. Francis Foundation, the fundraising arm of Roper St. Francis Healthcare, invites individuals and organizations to join its 2008 Roper Xavier or “Rx” Society. Since its inception in 2005, the members of this annual giving society have raised more than $14 million to support and enhance healthcare programs and services offered to the community through Roper St. Francis Healthcare. The Foundation recently announced that the Tom Brokaw, former NBC Nightly News anchor, will be the featured guest speaker at its 2008 Rx Society Donor Appreciation Gala to be held January 24, 2009.
