Our Commitment & Purpose
At Roper St. Francis Healthcare, our mission
is healing all
people with compassion, faith, and excellence.
With this mission in mind, we strive to
care for our diverse community and improve
the health of those that we serve through
our charitable spirit.
A significant part of the fulfillment of our mission is the services and support we give back to our community through corporate, individual, or collaborative efforts. Our support to the community is significant in both charitable giving and staff hours of service.
Roper St. Francis Healthcare is a not-for-profit
organization providing healthcare to the
public and re-investing our net income back
into the communities that we serve. The
594-bed system comprises 25 facilities/services
in three counties. Member hospitals include
Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital and Roper
Hospital. The organization, which in 2007
contributed more than 43,700 hours of staff
time and over 38 million to benefit the community,
is Charleston's largest private employer
with more than 3,800 employees. In addition we served over 77,291 community residents. Roper St. Francis Healthcare employees, also gave a record breaking $306,000 which is 118% of our goal to Trident United Way.
