Wound Management Center

Twenty years ago a patient with a non-healing wound would likely receive care in their doctor’s office with techniques that were limited to wet/dry gauzes. Today, approximately five million Americans suffer from chronic open sores that can become seriously infected, gangrenous and in some cases require amputation. This is often due to limited blood flow, which can slow the body's own healing process. But the good news is the technology to treat these wounds has dramatically improved.

The Outpatient Wound Management Center has moved.

In an effort to more effectively coordinate patients’ care and create a more efficient care model, the Outpatient Wound Management Center moved to the 2nd floor of Roper Hospital.
